Glossary¶

Annotation
A human or model-generated label attached to a point or region.

Artifact
A file produced or stored by a workflow, such as images, annotation tables, metrics, or exports.

Confirmed annotations
The confirmed subset returned by CoralNet. It may be unavailable or empty.

Imported source dataset
The reusable ReefNetAI object created by a CoralNet import.

Labelset
The controlled set of benthic or taxonomic categories used for annotation.

Linked job
A classification or segmentation job connected to a site visit and project.

Mask
A pixel-level region representing an object or substrate patch.

Point source
How annotation points enter a job: generated, imported from CoralNet, or uploaded from a file.

Snapshot
An immutable successful version of an imported dataset at a particular time.

Source classifier
A custom model governed within a fieldwork context such as a site visit.

Standalone job
An independent analysis job without the durable fieldwork and custom-model ownership of a site visit.
