Upload images¶
Upload native imagery to a site visit when the data does not come through CoralNet.
Prepare files¶
- Keep original pixels when possible; avoid screenshots or messaging-app recompression.
- Use unique, stable filenames.
- Separate different visits before upload.
- Remove accidental non-survey files.
- Record orientation or scale assumptions in the survey description.
Upload¶
- Open the site visit and select Assets.
- Start an upload and choose the image files.
- Keep the page open until the upload has been accepted.
- Wait for images to become ready.
- Open several images at full size before creating a job.
Do not start analysis from a partial ready set unless that subset is intentional and documented.
Quality check¶
Review a sample across the whole visit for blur, color cast, occlusion, duplicate frames, orientation, and non-reef imagery. Image quality problems propagate into both manual and model-assisted labels.
