Terms of Service
These terms describe the basic rules for accessing and using ReefNetAI, including account responsibilities, content use, platform availability, and service limitations.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of ReefNetAI. By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using any ReefNetAI service, you agree to these terms.
If you are using ReefNetAI on behalf of an organization, project, institution, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. Use of the Platform
ReefNetAI is intended to support coral reef monitoring, analysis, project coordination, and related conservation or research workflows. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these terms.
You may not use ReefNetAI to interfere with the platform, gain unauthorized access, misuse project data, or attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or compromise the service.
- Do not misuse account access or workspace permissions.
- Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized content.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service or bypass security controls.
- Do not use the platform in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
3. Accounts and Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, you should notify ReefNetAI promptly.
Workspace administrators and project owners are responsible for managing collaborator access appropriately and for ensuring that uploaded project materials are shared only with users who are authorized to view them.
4. Project Data and User Content
You retain responsibility for the content, imagery, metadata, annotations, and project information that you upload to ReefNetAI. You represent that you have the rights or permissions needed to submit that content and to allow ReefNetAI to process it for platform operation.
By uploading content, you grant ReefNetAI the limited rights needed to host, store, organize, process, display, and transmit that content as part of operating the service and supporting authorized user workflows.
5. Availability, Beta Features, and Changes
ReefNetAI may change over time. Features may be updated, improved, limited, or removed, particularly during beta or early-stage product periods.
We aim to keep the service available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent feature continuity, or error-free operation.
6. Fees and Billing
Some parts of ReefNetAI may currently be available without charge, while other plans or services may later require payment. If paid plans are introduced, additional billing terms or order-specific terms may apply.
Unless otherwise stated in a separate agreement, pricing, access scope, and service entitlements may change over time.
7. Intellectual Property
ReefNetAI, including its software, interface design, branding, and platform materials, is owned by ReefNetAI or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly allowed under these terms, you may not copy, distribute, modify, sublicense, or create derivative works from the service itself.
8. Termination and Suspension
ReefNetAI may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated, if use of the platform creates legal or security risk, or if continued service is no longer feasible.
You may stop using the platform at any time. Certain sections of these terms, including provisions related to intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and disputes, will continue to apply after access ends where appropriate.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
ReefNetAI is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every scientific, operational, or regulatory use case.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReefNetAI and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, project interruption, or business interruption arising from use of the platform.
10. Updates and Contact
These terms may be updated from time to time. When that happens, the revised version should be posted on this page with an updated effective date or notice.
Questions about these terms may be directed through the ReefNetAI help center, Slack community, or the designated support contact used by the platform team.
